Try Poker at Tiger Gaming
Thanks for coming to my new site! I will be featuring regular blog updates regarding online poker or US poker sites. In this post I want to talk about Tiger Gaming, an online poker site on the Action Poker network. Please note that this site does not accept wagers from Americans.
Tiger Gaming is a nice site with pleasing graphics and a clean interface. There is a large deposit bonus to earn and the support is very useful when you have a problem. Tiger Gaming stands out because it hosts some special games that you won’t find on any other site. These include the "poker" game of Guts (very loosely called poker), the classic card game Big 2, as well as Chinese Poker and Pan. You can’t get a roulette bonus here, but this will become your site of choice if you enjoy any of the other games.
I haven’t talked about actual poker yet! Tiger Gaming has Limit and No Limit Holdem, Limit and Pot-limit Omaha and 7 Card Stud (in theory).
Tiger Gaming has recently been advertising aggressively in Canada, encouraging people to download free poker in commercials on various TV networks. It looks like they thought that Canada is full of potential poker players. Because of this, many of the players on the site are Canadian, and they don’t have lot of experience at the game.
Traffic is definitely an issue, especially at 50NL+ and 1/2+. If you’re new to money poker sites, though, you should be able to find plenty of action from 2 to 25NL. It is common for there to be between three and six NL25 tables open and between four and eight NL5 tables. If you want to play 50NL, it’ll be a little bit trickier. You will usually only find one table, maybe two if it’s your lucky day. Those looking for 100NL will be even more disappointed. It is a rare day when there is a 100NL table available. I have never seen the NL1000 table populated in my time at the site, so if you want stakes that high, you should check out a PokerStars download.
Another bad thing about this site is that there isn’t a lot of traffic for non-Holdem games. They offer Seven Card Stud tables but nobody, literally nobody, plays them. Omaha is not quite as bad. There may be one table of Omaha going on, usually 20PLO. If you enjoy these non-Hold’em games, you might need to stick to a Fulltiltpoker download. Regarding the special games like Chinese Poker, at peak hours it is not hard to get a game going. Since Tiger is the only place that offers them, the player base is more reliable. For example, the game Guts typically can be seen at 2-3 tables at a time, with min bets between $0.10 and $0.50.
If you want to play low stakes on Tiger Gaming, the traffic and games are not bad. If you are a beginner at the game, it would be a good idea to increase your bankroll at Tiger and then you can go for a Titanpoker bonus code once you’re ready to move up in stakes.
Be sure to come back in a couple weeks! I will have a detailed post regarding the interface at Tiger Gaming.
